The lowering cost trajectory of renewables, along with commitments to decarbonization, is solidifying the transition to a 100% renewable grid. However, intermittent renewables cannot achieve this goal without balancing the right mix of technologies and incentives for energy storage. This panel will address how energy storage can be optimized to meet both very high renewable energy deployment and help meet decarbonization goals that are a driver for that deployment, including impacts on markets and greenhouse gas implications.
