J. Curtiss Fox is the director of the Energy Innovation Center at Clemson University.  His work  has involved the development, commissioning and operation of the eGRID Center, which houses a 15 MW grid emulation capability for testing the next generation of grid technologies.  His research interests revolve around the grid integration and standardization of renewable energy and energy storage technologies with a focus in the evaluation and validation of the performance features and ancillary services provided by such technologies.  He has been the principle investigator on grants ranging from industry lead research, to research and development for high speed motors and integration of wide bandgap semiconductors.
