Dan Tobin

Dan Tobin is the Energy Storage Lead in the Origination Division of the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office, where he manages multi-disciplinary teams in America's largest clean energy infrastructure investment program to underwrite $34 billion in debt financing across medium- and large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects as well as emerging energy technologies. Previously, Dan served as a board member on the Energy Initiatives Task Force at the U.S. Department of Defense, which was responsible for deploying over $7 billion of PPAs to renewable energy project developers. He has also worked as an advisor to the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s Green Prosperity Project where he facilitated the deployment of off-grid renewable energy projects in Indonesia. Earlier in his career Dan conducted energy policy and financial analysis for hydrogen storage technologies, microgrids, and off-grid solar/storage technologies at the Center for Energy & Environmental Policy.

Dan possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Environmental Science from the State University of New York, Geneseo and a Master’s Degree in Energy Policy from the University of Delaware.
