Victoria (Vickie) Gunderson is a Senior International Trade Specialist at the International Trade Administration (U.S. Department of Commerce) in the Office of Energy and Environmental Industries. In this role, she leads the strategic development of global trade promotion services for the U.S. smart grid and energy storage industries, while strengthening U.S. government coordination with industry to inform trade policy decisions and diplomacy. She is the lead author of the annual Smart Grid Top Market Report and serves as the Designated Federal Officer to the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee, a group of 40 senior executives that advise the Secretary of Commerce on U.S. competitiveness in related sectors. Prior to joining Commerce, Vickie held policy and technical positions with the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, U.S. National Nanotechnology Coordination Office, and multinational petrochemical company, UOP (Honeywell).

She holds a B.A. in chemistry from Carleton College and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Northwestern University.
